Recreational VS Professional

The differences between a recreational and professional board are mainly in the wiring and the sisal from which the board is made. For example, the wiring of dartboards for professional use is sharp (blade wire), while recreational darts have round wiring (round wire). The sharp wiring is an advantage for darts players, because you run less chance of bouncers and thus also have more space in the box. Bouncers are darts that bounce off the board because they hit the wiring. The blade wire ensures that the arrows along the wire still slide into the scoring areas when you throw exactly on the wire.
